VC Indian Style

Here's an interesting article on the state of VC in India. The author makes the point that even with its huge population and seemingly gigantic market opportunities- new businesses are slow to take hold because "success is often shaped by a combination of social circumstance and government role".

The author cites vaccines as an example of what should/could be a great opportunity. Instead,"a new vaccine will enjoy only limited market penetration due to the meagre resources of the public health system."
